As you all know by reading my info section on my blog, I have an amazing little boy.  He is the greatest part of my life.  He is only 3 years old, yet he thinks he is much bigger.  He proceeded to tell me over spring break that he "wants" a Xbox 360 for his birthday.  I about feel over, when he was telling me this.  I am thinking to myself you are only going to be 4 on your birthday and you really do not need this.  We have a Wii and he can play some of the games, but they are really hard for little hands to play, especially when you have to use two controllers on a game.  So I was telling my husband about this huge request that our son had made for his birthday.  Unknowning that this is what I fixing to tell him, he said that he had been looking at getting and Xbox 360 so that he and Brayden could play more games together.  So I told him what Brayden had said and Dad is planning on getting this for him for his birthday.
I am still on the fence more or less about this.  Getting a four year old and Xbox for his birthday seems a little to much.  I understand that today some games are aimed towards toddlers and younger kids.  I just do not really want my son to be one of those kids that is stuck to a video game or to the tv all the time.  I know that the Xbox kinnect is supposed to be good for helping kids stay in shape and they have to be up and moving around to play certain games.  So we will see how this truns out and how my little boy reacts when he gets this for his birthday!

  2. We got the Xbox Kinnect for our girls for Christmas. They love it! It lets them get exercise while they play. And even my 2 yr old is able to play. I think your son will enjoy the Xbox even if you don't get the kinnect. However the controllers are pretty big and even my 7 yr old has problems sometimes.
